Former Winn Resident Dies In New Orleans

Fred W. Bowen, 75, of Houston, Texas, died in New Orleans suddenly, Wednesday,
September 13, 1972.

Mr. Bowen was a native of Arkansas but had resided in Winnfield for a number
of years, having attended school here.  He resided in Houston several years
where he was an independent oil operator.

Funeral services were held Monday in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Ms. Fred W. Bowen of Houston; four brothers,
Dallas Bowen of Houston, Daulton Bowen of Folsum, Calif., Ramon Bowen and
Volmer Bowen of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Hallie Carter and Ruby Bowen of
Winnfield and Mrs. Eleanor Wooldridge of Granberry, Texas.
