Mrs. W. M. Bowen, 95, Succumbs; Rites Thursday

Mrs. Josie Roberson Bowen, 95, longtime resident of Winnfield, died at
midnight Tuesday, April 4, 1972 in Winnfield General Hospital.

Widow of the late W. M. Bowen, Mrs. Bowen was a native of Rubal, Arkansas, and
a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Gage officiating, assisted by Rev. J.
C. Skinner.  Interment, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, will
be in Winnfield Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elinor Wooldridge of Grandbury, Texas,
Mrs. Halley Carter and Miss Ruby Bowen, both of Winnfield; five sons, Fred
Bowen and Dallas Bowen, both of Houston, Texas, Daulton W. Bowen of Folsom,
California, Volmer M. Bowen and Ramon Bowen, both of Winnfield, nine
grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
