Funeral Rites For John A. Box Held Sun.

John Allen Box, 68, died at 6:30 a.m. November 1, 1968 in a Winnfield hospital
after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clonie Box of Dodson; one son, James Box of
Dodson; two daughters, Mrs. Corene Adams, Mansfield, and Mrs. Jean Reid,
Henderson, Ky.; two brothers, Jim Box, Goldonna, and Morgan Box, Waxahatchie,
Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Kozie Cockerham, Joyce, and Mrs. Mattie Cockerham,
Milford, Texas; and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Sunday at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. W. L. Fussell and the Rev. Harrison Cockerham officiating. 
Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.
