H. Box Dies On October 27 Last rites for Mrs. Lillie Hines Box, 42, of Jonesboro, who died Tuesday, October 27, in the Hodge Clinic following an operation, were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Jonesboro with the Rev. J. W. Buckner, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro cemetery. Born in Jackson, Miss., on April 22, 1900, Mrs. Box moved to Louisiana when she was six years old. She was reared in Winn Parish and at an early age became a member of the Baptist Church. For the past year she had been employed by the Southern Advance Bag and Paper Company at Hodge. Pallbearers were Frank Strothard, Clarence Maxey, and Joe Denet of Jonesboro, Sgt. Ray Steward of the U. S. Army, and John Box and Walter Price of Winnfield. Surviving Mrs. Box is her mother, Mrs. R. A. Williams of Jonesboro, one sister, Mrs. E. H. Box of Winnfield; one brother, Joe Hines of Jonesboro, and two nephews, Marrel Box of Jonesboro and James Box of Shreveport. Attending the funeral from Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. John Gorham, Mrs. Loyd Carroway, Mrs. J. M. Box, Mrs. Malsie Stroud, John Box, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Price, Mrs. Author Maxey, Mrs. Robert Maxey, Mrs. Eloise Maxey, and Miss Loyce Davis.
