Boyett Succumbs June 13 At The Age of 63 Funeral services for Jesse J. Boyett, 63, who died Sunday, June 13, 1965, in a Winnfield hospital following a brief illness, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. George Ross, and the Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Acting as pallbearers were Robert Boyett, Carl L. Rowell, George Rowell, Jesse Anders, Perry Joe Smith, and M. K. James. City Police were named as honorary pallbearers. A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Boyett was a retired railroad car inspector, and was employed in the City Police Deparement as a radio operator. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow; two sons, James A. Boyett of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elmo Boyett of Kent, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Curtis Rozelle of Winnfield; two brothers, Loyd Boyett of Baton Rouge, and Howard Boyett of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Dan Oden of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mrs. Carl Rowell of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Etta Gauldin of Shreveport; and six grandchildren.
