Boyett, Dies In Texas Funeral services for Dr. James Leroy Boyett, 73, prominent Jacksonville, Texas, dentist, were held Sunday in Jacksonville with the Rev. John Hammrick officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in that city. Dr. Boyett was a native of Winn Parish and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benny Boyett. He leaves a number of relatives in Winn Parish. Dr. Boyett died Friday in a Jacksonville nursing home after a lengthy illness. He was a World War I veteran, a Mason, and a Shriner. Surviving are his widow; one son, Harold Boyett of Logansport, La.; one brother, William Boyett of Pollock, La.; one half-brother, F. G. Cook of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Kate Hammack of Denham Springs, La.; four grandchildren.
