Boyett, 72, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Holmes, in Winnfield. Interment was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home, with the Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, and Rev. Lynn Browning, pastor of the Church of Christ of Winnfield, in charge. Mrs. Boyett was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was born November 13, 1873 in Grant Parish, and was a resident of the Tannehill Community in Winn Parish for a number of years prior to her death. Surviving Mrs. Boyett are four daughters, Mrs. Audie Howell and Mrs. Joe Holmes of Winnfield, Mrs. Della Brasher of Tioga, Mrs. Euie Nolley of Dallas, Texas; four sons, H. H. Boyett of Winnfield, Lewis Boyett of Olla, Odus Boyett with the U. S. Army in England, and Luther E. Boyett with the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Custer, Mich.; three brothers, Matt Smith of Gerard, La., and Bunion Smith and Pete Smith of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Mercer, Miss Rose Smith, Miss Lonnie Smith, and Mrs. C. W. Fox, all of Winnfield. Besides her two sons she had five grandsons in service. They are Sgt. Arvel Boyett of Alexandria, Lindsey Nolley of Miama, Fal, Junior Brasher, who is serving on Okinawa, and Cpl. Cliff and Arie Hughes, who have recently returned to the States after several months of duty in the Pacific.
