Funeral Services Held Monday For Charles H. Boyett

Funeral services for Charles H. Boyett, age 22, formerly of Winn Parish, were
held Monday in the Dodson Baptist Church, following his death Sunday evening
in the Veterans' Hospital in Alexandria.

Services were conducted by Rev. H. J. Mott of Winnfield, with burial in
Harmony Grove Cemetery near Gaars Mill under direction of Edmonds Funeral
Home.

Charles had been in poor health for more than two years.  He graduated from
high school in Shreveport in 1946 and spent two years in the U. S. Navy.

Pallbearers were J. L. Mathews, James C. Wilkins, James A. Daily, Paul V.
Gaar, Doc Farrar, and J. Y. Terry of Dodson.

Survivors are his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Sumner of 
Shreveport; one brother, Thurmond K. Boyett of the U. S. Air Force; one 
sister, Norma Jean Boyett of Dodson; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Faith of Dodson and Mr. and Mrs. K. L. Boyett of Joyce.
