Boyett Will Be Buried At Zion Hill Succumbs in Shreveport Hospital Thursday Morning W. Jasper Boyett, between 65 and 70 years of age, died in a Shreveport hospital Thursday morning at 6:30 o'clock after a long illness. He had been a patient in the hospital for the past four weeks. Funeral services will be held some time Friday at Zion Hill near Tannehill. Mr. Boyett was born and reared in Winn Parish and resided in the Tannehill community. He farmed and until his death became bad, served as pastor to a number of Baptist churches. He leaves his wife, four daughters and four sons: Mrs. Joe Holmes of Winnfield; Mrs. Evie Lolley, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Audie Howell, Winnfield; Mrs. Della Brassier, Pineville; Hardie, Odus, and L. E. Boyett of Winnfield and Lewis Boyett of Taylor, Ark. Three sisters and two brothers also survive. They are Mrs. M. McKaskle, Mrs. C. M. Sanders, H. L. Boyett, and J. W. Boyett of Winnfield; and Mrs. D. F. Moore of Denniece, Fla. ___________________________ Funeral for W. Jasper Boyett Held at Zion Hill Funeral for W. Jasper Boyett, who died in a Shreveport hospital, July 6, were conducted in the presence of a large crowd of relatives and friends. The Rev. W. O. Moffett, pastor of the Zion Hill Church and Rev. John Kitchingham and A. Buckins, officiated. Burial was in Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of McLure's Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Will Boyett, Esley Smith, Bob Boyett, Jr., Howard Boyett, Hardy Boyett, Jr., and Dr. Roy Boyett. Mr. Boyett will be greatly missed spiritually, socially, and politically in this community. He leaves his widow, four daughters, four sons, and eighteen grandchildren to mourn his passing. The out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. I. Nolly and family, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Brasher and family, Tioga, La.; Mr. Will Boyett, Pollock; Dr. Roy Boyett, Jacksonville, Tex.; Mrs. Alvin Keen and family, Tullos; Mr. Louis Boyett, Camden, Ark.; Mr. J. T. Sanders, Smackover, Ark., and Mrs. Jessie Boyett, Rochelle, La.
