Mrs. Boyett, 74, Dies After Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Boyett, 74, of Winnfield, were held at 4
p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church here with the Revs. Kelly Tingle
and Grayson B. Watson officiating.

Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Boyett died at 11:48 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 1977 in a local hospital after
a lengthy illness.

A native of Wheeling, Mrs. Boyett was the widow of Jesse Boyett, a retired
grocery store owner at Winnfield.  She was also a member of the Methodist
Church.

Survivors include two sons, James A. Boyett of Montebello, Calif., and William
Elmo Boyett of Kent, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Rozelle of Winnfield;
two brothers, J. W. Hughes of Baton Rouge and Hershel Hughes of Montgomery;
six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Henderson, Dan Page, Harper Terrill, Eddie Powell,
Reggie Dietzel, and Arnold Jordan.
