Watson officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Boyett died at 11:48 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 1977 in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Wheeling, Mrs. Boyett was the widow of Jesse Boyett, a retired grocery store owner at Winnfield. She was also a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, James A. Boyett of Montebello, Calif., and William Elmo Boyett of Kent, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Rozelle of Winnfield; two brothers, J. W. Hughes of Baton Rouge and Hershel Hughes of Montgomery; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jack Henderson, Dan Page, Harper Terrill, Eddie Powell, Reggie Dietzel, and Arnold Jordan.
