Bozeman Dies Suddenly At Home Thursday, March 4 After an Illness of Several Months from which he was Rapidly Recovering Death is Caused by Heart Trouble Following an illness of several months from which he was apparently recovering Mr. M. W. Bozeman died very suddenly of heart trouble at his home here last Thursday morning, March 4th, about two forty-five. Mr. Bozeman was fifty six years old and had been a resident of Winn Parish since 1901, coming here from Arkadelphia, Ark., where he had lived since a boy. He was born in Terral County, Georgia, May 9th, 1859 and was a member of one of the old southern families with its name written in the constructive history of the South. He was married to Miss Caroline Elizabeth Eck in 1880 to which union six children were born, all of whom are living: H. B. Bozeman, Mike E. Bozeman, Miss Eva Bozeman and Eck Bozeman, all of Winnfield, and Mrs. Clyde B. Owens of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. P. J. Willis of Shreveport. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church having taken that faith many years ago. He was a faithful husband, a loving father, a counseling brother, and good citizen. Besides his six children he is survived by his widow, two brothers, T. L. Bozeman, of Bienville, La., and L. E. Bozeman of El Paso, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. Emma O'Neal, El Paso, Texas, Mrs. W. M. Hastings, Dawson, Ga., and Mrs. Eula King, Santa Anna, Calif. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Rev. A. Stokes and Rev. P. M. Carraway with interment in the Winnfield Cemetery Friday morning at ten o'clock. (Submitted by Greggory Ellis Davies, Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA.)
