All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 17, 1974 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Last Rites For Eva Bozeman Held April 17 Funeral services for Miss Eva Bozeman, 67, who died in her home in Baton Rouge, Friday of last week, were held at 10 a.m. in Baton Rouge Wednesday, April 17, 1974, with burial following in the family plot in Winnfield Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Rev. W. R. Gage, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, officiated at the graveside services. Acting as pallbearers were Earl Applewhite, J. R. Harrison, D. E. Berlin, R. H. Watts, Jack Gaar, and D. L. Hoffman. A native of Winnfield, Miss Bozeman was a member of the 1924 graduating class of the Winnfield High School. For a number of years she was employed in the Winn County Agent's Office during the tenure of Joe Martin, later going to the State Office, Department of Agriculture. For 20 or more years prior to her death she was employed by the Guaranty Life Insurance Company of Baton Rouge, from which she retired a year ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Miss Bozeman was the sister of the late Harley B. Bozeman who for many years wrote the feature, "Winn Parish As I Have Known It" for the Winn Parish Enterprise. Survivors include one brother, Eck Bozeman, Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. P. J. (Myrtle) Willis, Bossier City; 10 nieces and nephews. Among the nephews is Estes Bozeman of Winnfield.
