E. Bozeman In Pineville Nov. 29 Mike E. Bozeman, Sr., died at his home in Pineville early Monday morning apparently from a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 59 years old. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bozeman and was reared in Winnfield, graduating from the local high school, and the New Orleans College of Pharmacy, now a part of Loyola University. After serving in World War I, he and H. B. Bozeman bought and operated the Winnfield Drug Company for several years. Later he operated his own drug store here before becoming pharmacist at the Central Louisiana State Hospital at Pineville for six years. About 20 years ago, he bought the Montgomery Drug Store at Montgomery and continued its operation until ill health forced his retirement last year. Since then he has been living in retirement at 123 Hudson Street, Pineville. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Pineville, with Rev. P. M. Carroway, the pastor, officiating. It was during Rev. Carroway's first pastorate of the First Methodist Church in Winnfield that the deceased affiliated with the local Methodist Church. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield and Kramer Funeral Home of Alexandria. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lois Long Bozeman, Pineville; one son, Dr. Mike E. Bozeman, Jr., Pineville; one daughter, Mrs. Lonnie Duckleman, Monroe; two brothers, H. B. Bozeman and Eck Bozeman, Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. P. J. Willis, Bossier City, and Miss Eva Bozeman, Baton Rouge. Also three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Actins as pallbearers were Mayor Lloyd J. Harrison, Melvin Hall, K. A. Oliver, R. J. Bienvenue, J. H. Hughes, E. C. Ervin, B. J. Ladd, and Sam Wells.
