Final Rites For Mrs. E. W. Branch At Harmony Grove

Funeral services for Mrs. Ether Womack Branch, 71, widow of the late Ed Branch
of the Gaars Mill Community, were held at the Harmony Grove Church Tuesday,
August 28, at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. J. D. Kitchingham and the Rev. Otis
Smith officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were Jack and John Branch, Luther and Buster Keaton,
Chick Leeper and Herbert Rogers.

Mrs. Branch died in a Winnfield hospital August 27 after several months
illness.  She made her home with her son, Horace Branch, and family in
Winnfield.  Daughter of the late Joe and Alice Womack of Gaars Mill, she was
born and reared in Gaars Mill and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist
Church.  

Surviving are four sons, Alon and Horace of Winnfield; J. D. and Carl Branch
of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Arah Grant, Biloxi, Miss.; Mrs. Mazelle
Smith, DeKalb, Texas; Mrs. Maude Maxwell, Natchez, Miss., two brothers, Emmett
and Louis Womack, Dodson; one sister, Mrs. A. J. Keaton, Winnfield.
