Branch, 80, Prominent Resident, Dies Funeral rites for Mrs. Beulah Gwin Branch, 80, of Winnfield, who died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 1967, in a New Orleans hospital after a long illness were held in Winnfield at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Services, under direction of Hixson Brothers, were held in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Gage, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Branch was a member of a prominent area family, the daughter of the late A. J. Gwin, who was identified with several Winn Parish enterprises. She was the wife of the late Mack L. Branch, prominent druggist and civic leader. She spent most of her life in Winnfield and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary V. Rhinehard and Mrs. Robert (Gwendolyn) Walsh, both of New Orleans, and one grandchild, Carla Rhinehard, of New Orleans. Pallbearers were Robert Heard, Richard Heard, Cas Moss, Buddy Wood, John G. Jackson, and H. E. Powell, Jr.
