Funeral Rites For Mrs. Emily Brand Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Elizabeth Brand, 85, were held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, August 25, 1965 at Sikes Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie James
officiating.  Burial was in Sikes Cemetery under direction of Edmonds' Funeral
Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Brand died Monday, August 23, 1965 in a Winnfield hospital.

Survivors include four sons, Amos Brand of Shreveport, Clay Brand of Beaumont,
Texas, Louie Brand and Francis Brand, both of Sikes; three daughters, Mrs. Mae
Erskins of Sikes, Mrs. Trudie Simmons of Joyce, and Mrs. Gladys Crain of
Pollock; one sister, Mrs. Lannie Roberts of Crossett, Ark.; 16 grandchildren,
41 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Estes Bozeman, Homer Simmons, Marion Feltenberger, Richard
Feltenberger, Bill Trittle, Charles Crain.
