All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 6, 1952, Winn Parish Enterprise Eugene Brasher, Former Winn Man, Buried Tuesday Eugene Brasher, of Tioga, former Winnfield resident, was buried last Tuesday, February 26, in Alexandria, following his death Sunday, February 24, at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria after an illness of 10 months. He was the husband of the former Della Boyett. Funeral services were conducted at the Hixson chapel in Alexandria at 10 a.m. by Rev. C. R. Johnston of Monroe, Rev. Lavell Kennedy of Shreveport, Chaplain Earl Lewis of the Veterans Hospital, and Dr. W. A. Brown of the Tioga Baptist Church. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under direction of Hixson Brothers. Graveside services were conducted by the Curtis T. Hines Masonic Lodge and the VFW Post of Tioga. Mr. Brasher resided in Winnfield for a number of years and was well known here. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Billie Joe, Ethel and Della Mae Brasher of Tioga; Mrs. James Rhemy of Cristobal, Canal Zone; two sons, William E. Brasher of Alexandria and Harvey Brasher of Tokum, Texas; and three grandchildren. Attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hughes, Mrs. Arie Hughes, Mrs. Joe Holmes, Miss Margie Nell Holmes, Mrs. Bessie Mercer, Mrs. Minerva McKaskle, and Mrs. Audie Howell.
