Wm. M. Branch

Wm. M. Branch, age 74 years, died last Sunday, July 28th, at the home of his
son, R. E. Branch, of New Roads, La.

Mr. Branch was born at Gaar's Mill, this parish and lived in the community of
his birth all his life except for the last few years, after his wife's death,
he made his home with his children.  He married Mrs. Lidia Lee Grisham, of
Gaar's Mill, there having been born nine children, seven boys and two girls: 
R. E. Branch, New Roads; G. W. Branch, Dodson; Mrs. Docia Davis, New Roads;
Mac L. Branch, Winnfield; Arthur Branch, deceased; J. M. Branch, Bunkie; J. W.
Branch, Wyatt; A. S. Branch, Winnfield; Mrs. J. L. Tugwell, Winnfield.

Mr. Branch had been a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church for many
years and his remains were carried there and interred in the cemetery last
Monday afternoon, a large throng of friends and relatives attending, many of
whom were from Winnfield.
