Final Rites Held For Mrs. Festus Brewton April 4

Mrs. Festus Brewton, 65, of Route 1, Goldonna, died at her home suddenly at 4
a.m. Friday, April 3, following a heart attack.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sanders Chapel
Methodist Church of which the deceased was a member.  Burial was in the church
cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.  Rev. R. H. Staples and
Rev. F. P. Moss officiated at the last rites.

Nephews acted as pallbearers: D. L. Bell, J. H. Dean, Louis B. Straughn, Jim
D. Martin, Tommy Brewton, and Sonny Brewton.

Mrs. Brewton is survived by her husband, Festus Brewton, Goldonna; one son,
George Brewton, Dodson; three brothers, Charlie Dean, Goldonna, Ocie Dean,
Winnfield, and Jack Dean, Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. George Cunningham,
Goldonna, Mrs. L. B. Straughn, Pineville, Mrs. Ebb Machen, Winnfield, and Mrs.
V. O. Barnes, Lone Star, Texas; two grandchildren and her mother, Mrs. Annie
Dean of Winnfield.

Mrs. Brewton was the former Miss Delia Dean.
