Last Rites For Edward L. Brewton Conducted Apr. 27

Funeral services for Edward L. Brewton, 72, prominent resident of Goldonna,
were held at Sanders Methodist Chapel near Calvin at 3 p.m. Thursday, April
27, with the Rev. A. D. Boswell, Rev. Joiner, and Rev. Reppard officiating. 
Interment in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery was under direction of Southern
Funeral Home.

Mr. Brewton, who had been employed in the timber business most of his life,
died of a heart attack at his home in Goldonna about 4 p.m. Wednesday, April
26.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Brewton of Goldonna; three sons, Stinson
of Mississippi, Lavell of Paris, Texas, and Hayward of Houston, Texas; two
daughters, Mrs. Alfred Lee and Mrs. Sam Shehee of Washington; one brother,
Walter of Jena; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Terral of Mansfield and Mrs. Hattie
Whitner of Marshall, Texas; and one nephew, Latnie Brewton of Winnfield.
