Last Rites for Mrs. A. J. Brewer Held At New Hope

Funeral services for Mrs. A. J. Brewer, 77, who died at her home in the Hudson
Community Tuesday, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the New Hope Methodist
Church with the pastor, Rev. L. G. Shaw, officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Johnny Waters, Marvin Berry, James Vines, Norman Terral,
Mervin Jordan, Jr., Johnny White, and C. H. Price.

Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Hudson Church of Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, A. J. Brewer; one son, Ernest; five daughters,
Mrs. Leonard Stewart, Dodson; Mrs. T. L. Waters and Mrs. G. W. Williams,
Shreveport; Mrs. J. J. Atchison, Kenner; and Mrs. E. T. Stroud, Pineville;
three brothers, Grover Kidd, Sikes; Harris Kidd, Pineville; and T. C. Kidd,
Clarks.

She also leaves 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
