H. Brewton Stricken At Daughter's Home In Alexandria J. H. Brewton, Goldonna merchant and civic leader died last Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eric Brown, in Alexandria from a sudden heart attack. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the Goldonna Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Freeman officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Brewton was well known in Natchitoches and Winn Parishes because of his wide business interests and civic and church activities. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Brown of Alexandria and Mrs. Belton Riser of Goldonna; three sons, Latnie Brewton of Goldonna, Ira Brewton of Shreveport, Hershel Brewton of Bunkie; two sisters, Mrs. S. S. Whitner of Goldonna and Mrs. R. N. Terral of Mansfield; two brothers, Walter Brewton of Jena and Edwin Brewton of Goldonna. Pallbearers were Cleve Quarles, Carl Reed, Leon Reed, Jack Easley, A. H. Plummer, and S. S. Whitner.
