B. M. Brewton Dies; Rites At Goldonna

Funeral services for Buford M. Brewton, 72, of Goldonna were held at 3 p.m.
Saturday, in Goldonna Baptist Church with the Revs. Dean Hedrick and Kit
Hawthorne officiating.

Burial was in Goldonna Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Mr. Brewton died Thursday, May 6, 1976 at 11:40 p.m. in a local hospital after
a long illness.

A native of Natchitoches Parish, Mr. Brewton was a deacon of the Goldonna
Baptist Church and a retired highway department employee.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Odessa Brewton of Goldonna; one son, Phillip
Ray Brewton of Lake Charles; one daughter, Mrs. Lolita Myers of Goldonna; one
sister, Mrs. Delia Blake of Lake Charles and eight grandchildren.
