Joe G. Brewton Dies; Rites To Be Thursday

Joe G. Brewton, 77, of Goldonna, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 1975,
in V. A. Hospital in Alexandria, after a lengthy illness.

A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Antioch Methodist Church with
Rev. W. L. Fussell officiating; assisted by Rev. Larry Barnett.  Burial will
be in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Survivors include one son, Robert Lee Brewton of Baton Rouge; three daughters,
Mrs. Irene White of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Betty Carr of Goldonna, and Mrs. Nellie
Oxford of Goldonna; three brothers, Olin Brewton of Winnfield, Stanley Brewton
and Festus Brewton of Goldonna; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Taylor of goldonna,
Mrs. Vada Taylor of Goldonna, and five grandchildren.
