Branch Succumbs; Rites Held Jan. 31 Mrs. Gladys Branch, 67, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 1966 after a long illness. She was a native of Greenville, Texas but had lived in Winnfield for many years. She was the widow of the late Alva Branch. Funeral services were held here at 3 p.m. Monday in the First Methodist Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. George Ross officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Branch is survived by a daughter, Thelma B. Beierschmitt of Winnfield; a brother, D. H. Phillips of Marion; and her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips of Marion. Pallbearers were James H. Emerson, Joe Watts, Richard Heard, Dennis Shell, Alvin Hahn, C. C. Carter, and Ebb Machen.
