Funeral Services For Mrs. J. C. Bright Held Saturday

Funeral services were conducted here Saturday for Mrs. J. C. Bright, who died
at 6 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Bright was stricken at 5 p.m. Friday.

The deceased, 45 years old, and a member of the Baptist church, was born in
Red River Parish near Coushatta and has resided in Winnfield more than 15
years. She is survived by the following immediate relatives: J. C. Bright,
husband; 4 daughters, Mrs. Bernice Adams, Misses Ernestine and Marie Bright,
Winnfield, Mrs. Mercile Pressock, Cardova Minds, Ontario, Canada, and one son,
J. C., Jr., of Winnfield; Mrs. M. G. Newman, mother, Winnfield; three
brothers, C. D. Newman, Winnfield, J. W. Newman, Sarepta, W.. P. Newman,
Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Parrish, Springhill, Mrs. Raymond P.
Eagles, and B. C. Garris, Winnfield.
