Services for Mrs. Briley, age 84, were held Friday, March 11, in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Moore and Rev. Bob Brawley officiating. Mrs. Briley died Wednesday, March 9, in the Winn Parish Medical Center. Burial was in the Double Church Cemetery at Couley. Mrs. Briley was a native of Winn Parish, a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church and was a LPN at Winnfield General for 28 years. Mrs. Briley received her LPN certificate from Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Alice Kelley of Winnfield; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Edward Deckard, Bryan Kelley, Bodie Little, Donald Richardson, J. E. Rikard, and Bill Berry.
