Dr. Francis Nathaniel Brian, aged 67 years and 6 months, one of Alexandria's oldest and best-known physicians, died at his home, at 1 o'clock Wednesday, September 7, 1927. The funeral will take place at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made in Greenwood Memorial Park, Alexandria. The deceased is survived by his wife and three children. The children are Mrs. Jack Duke, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas and Messrs. Francis R. Brian and McElroy Brian, of this city. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Theodosia Teddlie of Coushatta, La. Dr. Brian was born March 7, 1860 near Columbia, La., on the Ouachita River and the family later moved to Winnfield, La., to reside. He joined the Baptist Church when he was 23 years of age. He was married on July 5, 1888 to Miss Clemmie Jones at Boyce, La.
