All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: December 3, 1980 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Annie Lee Brown Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lee Kelley Brown, 78, of Zwolle, Louisiana, were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 1980, at Zwolle Methodist Church with Reverend Raymond DeLaughter officiating. Burial followed in the Zwolle Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many, Louisiana. Mrs. Brown died at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 36, of pneumonia, a complication following strokes, at Frazier Hospital in Many. She was an active member of Zwolle Methodist Church where she was a member and past officer of the W. S. C. S. and a member of the Chase Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, the former Annie Lee Kelley, moved with her family to Winnfield, Louisiana at the approximate age of two years, where she graduated from high school. She attended La. Polytechnic Institute, the predecessor of La. Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana. Survivors include her husband, Max McLean Brown, of Zwolle; one son, Charles E. Brown of Pensacola, Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Robert E. "Pat" Key of Shreveport, Louisiana; one sister, Mrs. Manton Wood of Winnfield; one brother, Charlie Kelley of Alexandria, La; and nine grandchildren. Among those attending the funeral in Zwolle Friday for Mrs. Brown were Mrs. Manton Wood, Mrs. Lessie Kelley of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Wood, Mrs. Mrs. J. S. McClane. They were joined by Mrs. Sandra O'Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. Clay Brock of Bossier City.
