Mrs. Brand was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gorham of Winnfield. She had suffered from a prolonged attack of pneumonia before going to the sanitarium for an operation. She leaves her husband and parents and four brothers and four sisters. They are: Joe Gorham of Norphlet, Ark.; Henry, Hilton, and Clarence Gorham of Winnfield. The sisters are Mrs. Hanon Sage, Vicks, La.; Mrs. A. W. Cockerham, Boyce, La.; Mrs. Rich Sanders, Sikes, and Mrs. Pearl Gorham, Winnfield. The funeral was held at West Union Cemetery, Rev. J. D. Kitchingham of Winnfield, conducting the service. Among the relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Leary of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. Brand, of Verda, father and mother of the deceased's husband; Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Erskins of Sikes.
