Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with the Rev. W. R. Gage and the Rev. Robert Leach officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mr. Brooks was a Winnfield native an for the past 12 years owned and operated Brooks Auto Parts. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eva M. Brooks of Winnfield; two sons, Mark and Greg Brooks, both of Winnfield; one daughter, Lisa Brooks of Hudson, Mass.; three stepsons, Jackie Davies of Houma, Leslie Davies of Everett, Wash., and Gregg Davies of Monroe; one brother, J. C. Brooks of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. H. E. Taylor of West Monroe, and four step-grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. C. Taylor, Dick Brooks, Don Brooks, John Lowery, Johnnie Templeton, J. E. Melton, Jack Henderson.
