"Snookie" Broomfield were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ with Shelton Berryman and Freddie Shows officiating. Burial was in Transport Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Broomfield, 62, of Dodson died Thursday, January 28, 1988 in Humana Hospital, Winnfield. He was a native of Little River County, Ark., a U. S. Marine veteran of World War II, and a member of Church of Christ. He was a logging contractor, a member of American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife, Gay Broomfield of Dodson; one son, Richard Broomfield of Dodson; one daughter, Gayla Leach of Dodson; two brothers, W. A. "Jack" Broomfield of Dodson, and Garland Broomfield of Jonesboro; three sisters, Dorothy Horn of Ruston, and Linda Terral and Cherry Young, both of Dodson; and five grandchildren.
