Funeral Rites For Alvin Brown Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Alvin Brown, 43, of Goldonna, were held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at the Goldonna Baptist Church with Rev. Kit Hathorn officiating
with interment following at Goldonna Cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.  Graveside Masonic rites were also conducted.

Brown, a school bus driver in St. Maurice, was a World War II veteran and
served in the Korean conflict.  He belonged to the Goldonna Baptist Church
and was a Master Mason at Goldonna Lodge 293.

Surviving Brown are his widow, Mrs. Marie Brown, Goldonna; sons Anthony
Dewayne and Richard Keith Brown of goldonna; and daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth C.
Monroe of Poydras and Jackqualine Sue Stewart of Goldonna.

Brown is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Alma Waters of Natchitoches;
brothers Oliver Brown, Abilene, Texas, Robert Brown, Shreveport, and three
sisters, Mrs.  Annie Fontenot, Monroe, Mrs. Lena Lambert, Montgomery, and Mrs.
Ruby Harris, Plainview, Texas.
