A native of Vicksburg, Miss., she was a longtime resident of Winnfield and was a former member and Past Worthy Matron of the Palestine Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Winnfield. She had resided in Jackson for the past 14 years. Funeral services were held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg. The Rev. Hancel Bankester, pastor of the Westmont Christian Church in Vicksburg, officiated. Burial was in the Vicksburg Cedar Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Clay Brock, Sr., of Jackson; a son, Clay Brock, Jr., of Benton; three brothers, Frank Penley, E. C. Penley, and James "Buck" Penley, all of Vicksburg; five sisters, Mrs. Audrey Werner of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Emma Sorrels of Rolling Fork, Miss., Mrs. Grace Wright, Mrs. Sara Wright, and Mrs. Vivian Ann Hildebrand, all of Vicksburg; and three grandchildren.
