Mother of J. C. Brooks Dies in Ruston July 4th

Mrs. Sallie Brooks, 79 years of age, mother of Mr. J. C. Brooks of Winnfield,
died at her home in Ruston, Sunday morning, July 4th.

Attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Brooks, Mr. and Mrs.
J. C. Brooks, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Taylor.

Mrs. Brooks was the mother and stepmother of thirteen children, 34
grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
