Last Rites For J. B. Brossette, 76, Held Today

Funeral services for Julian B. Brossette, 76 year old Winnfield resident, were
held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Six Bits Cemetery near Montgomery with
the Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating.  Interment was in the Six Bits Cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Brossette, a former resident of Montgomery, was born August 6, 1872 and
had lived in Winn Parish for several years.  He passed away at his son's home
in Natchitoches at 7:30 p.m. September 16, after an illness of several months.
His wife preceded him in death one year ago.

He is survived by five sons, B. B. Brossette of Arkansas, Dewitt of
Montgomery, Hardy and Jess of Natchitoches, and Walter of Cloutierville; two
daughters, Mrs. John Corley and Mrs. Quinney Adams of Winnfield.  He is also
survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
