C. L. Browning, 82, Expires; Rites Dec. 17

Funeral services for Charles L. Browning, "Uncle Charlie", 82, of Goldonna,
were held at 2 p.m. in Prewitt's Chapel, near Hornbeck.  The Rev. Francis M.
Belsha and Rev. Robert Graham officiated.  Burial was in Prewitt's Chapel
Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

Mr. Browning died Tuesday, December 15, 1970 in Winnfield Parkview Nursing
Home.  He was a retired sawmill worker.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Browning of Goldonna; four sons, Arthur
Browning and Jimmie Browning, both of Dallas, Charlie Browning of Arkansas,
and Max Browning of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Maresh of
Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Westbrook of Hornbeck; and 18
grandchildren.

Two brothers and four sisters, two nephews and one niece, all of the Winn
Parish area.
