Colored Deaths

Joe Brownfield

Funeral services for Joe Brownfield, 69, of St. Maurice, were held March 5 at
Evergreen Baptist church.  Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of
Ben Johnson Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Brownfield died March 1.  He had lived at St. Maurice all his life.  Survivors
are one son, Robert Brownfield of Chicago; one daughter, Elnora Hoover of St.
Maurice; one brother, George Brownfield of Shreveport; and one sister, Myrtis
Rogers of St. Maurice.
