G. Barton At Taylor, Ark. After an illness of several months, George Gibson "Gip" Barton, 55, succumbed in a local hospital Saturday, February 26, at 8:30 a.m. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Taylor, Ark., with burial in the Sharon Cemetery near Taylor. A native of Arkansas, Mr. Barton moved to Winnfield eight years ago. He was married in 1929 to Miss Janie Lucille Tolbert, a native of Winn Parish, and had been engaged in the grocery and filling station business until a few months ago when his health failed. Surviving are his wife of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Hollis Duke, Springhill, La., and Mrs. Travis King, Taylor, Ark.; one grandsons, Ronnie Gibson King; his father, George G. Barton, Sr., Taylor, Ark.; one brother, Lee Barton, Samford, Texas.
