Father Of Winn Residents Dies In Alexandria

Aubrey Edison Bruce, 59, of Alexandria, died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, November
20, 1974 in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

He was a retired pulpwood contractor and a native of Grant Parish.

Survivors are two sons, Donald Wayne Bruce and David Russell Bruce of Atlanta,
four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Gorham, Mrs. Elaine Gorham, Mrs. Doris
Humphries, and Mrs. Shirley Nugent of Pineville; one half brother, Gene Taylor
of Pineville; three step brothers, Archie Taylor of Tioga, Earl Taylor and
Garnie Taylor; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Youngblood of Colfax, Mrs. Vera
Carruth of Alexandria, and Miss Mae Dea Bruce of Pineville; a step sister,
Mrs. Dorothy Crooms of Tioga, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Hixson's,
Pineville, with Rev. Don McCormick officiating.  Burial was in Big Creek
Cemetery, Pollock.
