M. T. Brumfield, 72, Succumbs to Heart Attack Wednesday

Bogalusa, La., March 23 - M. T. Brumfield, 72 years old, died at his home here
Wednesday of heart trouble.  With the passing of Mr. Brumfield Bogalusa and
Washington Parish loses one of its best known citizens.  He was born and
reared in this parish, where he reared a large family.  He moved to Bogalusa
from Mt. Point, near Franklinton, about ten years ago and had been engaged in
building and contracting since.  

Surviving Mr. Brumfield are his widow, five daughters, Miss Alyne Brumfield of
Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Frank Price of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J. J. Warner of
Warnerton, Mrs. B. W. Bial of Shreveport, and Miss Edna Milton Brumfield of
Bogalusa; two sons, V. L. Brumfield of Jonesboro and Talmadge Brumfield of
Bogalusa.   Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church Thursday
afternoon, the Rev. O. P. Estes officiating.  Interment was made in the
