A native of Sikes, she taught school at Calvin and other communities in Winn for a number of years. Funeral services were conducted April 2 at 3:30 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Chapel with burial following in Green Oaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Dr. J. Norris Palmer, pastor First Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, officiated at the last rites. Surviving are her husband, Tom H. Brunson and one son, Tommy, both of Baton Rouge; her parents, Mr. and Mrs Z. Z. Pepper of Sikes; one sister, Mrs. J. A. Nickerson, Marksville; five brothers, Horace, Baton Rouge; L. C. and Noah Pepper of Sikes; Morgan of Haynesville, and Homer of Waynesboro, Miss. Both Mrs. Brunson and her husband are natives of Winn. At the time of her death Mrs. Brunson was a teacher in the Baton Rouge schools. She had taught school for 30 years in Winn, Bienville, and Allen Parishes, and in Mobile, Ala.
