George Brunson Rites Held Feb. 29 At Calvin Church

Funeral services for George William Brunson, 83, of Calvin, who died in a
Winnfield hospital Monday, were held Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 10 a.m. in the
Calvin Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Carter Hall, and Rev. Jewel
Canerday, officiating.  Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery with the Masonic
Lodge in charge.

A native of Alabama, Mr. Brunson had been a resident of the Calvin community
for more than 50 years.  He was a member and deacon in the Baptist Church and
a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife of Calvin;; three sons, G. W. Brunson of Snyder, Texas;
C. H. Brunson of Calvin; Hall F. Brunson of Texas City, Texas; four daughters,
Mrs. O. G. Milam of Kilgore, Texas, Mrs. Robbins Carter of Calvin, Mrs. Frank
White of Winnfield, Mrs. Plummer Chunn of Snyder, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 12
great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lou McKnight of St. Louis, Mo.
