Mrs. Mattie C. Brewton

Services for Mrs. Mattie C. Brewton, 87, of Goldonna were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday in Goldonna Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Hedrick officiating.

Burial was in Goldonna Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Mrs. Brewton died Thursday, January 29, 1981 in Willis Knighton Hospital in
Shreveport after a long illness.

Survivors include three sons, William Brewton of Shreveport, John Brewton of
Dallas, and Benjamin Brewton of Houston; five daughters, Edna Brewton, Mrs.
Dorothy Franks, and Charlotte Shaw, all of Shreveport, Mrs. Laura Cooper of
Hodge, and Mrs. Eleanor Webb of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, Earl Harris of
Goldonna and Austin Harris of Cottonport; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Montgomery of
Goldonna; 24 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a great-great
grandchild.
