A. L. Bryan Dies In Baton Rouge; Formerly of Here

Funeral services for A. L. Bryan, Sr., were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the
First Baptist Church of Ringgold, with burial in Providence Cemetery.  The
Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiated.  He died at his home in Baton Rouge December
23.

Mr. Bryan, formerly president of the First National Bank of Winnfield, which
closed just prior to Bank Holiday a number of years back.  He was the retired
director of the State Parole Board.

Mr. Bryan was a native of Bienville Parish.  He is survived by his widow;
one son, A. L. Bryan, Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. Clotile Hennigan, all of Baton
Rouge; one sister, Mrs. J. E. Jones of Bryceland, and three grandchildren.
