Funeral Services For Elzie Bryant Held In Colfax

Funeral services for Elzie Bryant, 73, who died Monday, October 11, at 1:40
a.m. in a Winnfield nursing home, were held at Bethel Church near Bentley on
Highway 8, at 2:30 p.m., following a long illness.

Rev. Kelly Tingle, assisted by Rev. D. L. Callendar, officiated.  Interment
was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

A life-long resident of Grant Parish, Mr. Bryant was a retired mill worker.

Survivors include eight daughters, one of whom is Mrs. Corinne Wise of Sikes;
two sons, four sisters, two brothers, 55 grandchildren, and five great
grandchildren.
