Bryant, 88, of Montgomery died at 8:55 p.m. September 23, 1974 in an Alexandria hospital. Mrs. Bryant was the oldest charter member of the Hargis Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ila Jones of Montgomery; two sons, Lloyd H. Bryant and Charles W. Bryant, both of Montgomery; five brothers, Ebben McIlwain of Dry Prong, Rufus McIlwain of Jena, R. C. McIlwain of Farmerville, Weaver McIlwain of Clayton, Tex., and Elby McIlwain of Joinerville, Tex., seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hargis Baptist Church with the Revs. J. D. Smith, Roy Moore and G. P. McManus officiating. Burial was in Hargis cemetery under the direction of Southern of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Larry Bryant, Hershel Bryant, Will Bryant, James R. Jones, Kenneth Lantz, Tony Lavespere.
