Elbert O. Buchanan

SHREVEPORT - Funeral services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial
Funeral Home Chapel at 8801 Mansfield Road for Mr. Elbert O. Buchanan,
62, of Shreveport, at 2 p,m, Monday September 2. The Rev. Dan Gardner,
paster of Brookwood Baptist Church, will officiate. Internment will be
at Centuries Memorial Park. 

Mr. Buchanan entered into rest Saturday August 31, 1985, at the V.A.
Medical Center in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. He was a retired
U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie Buchanan of Shreveport; one
daughter, Nelda Buchanan of New Orleans, La.; one son, Robert C.
Buchanan of Keithville, La.; five sisters, Mrs. Seleta Williams of
Williiana, La., Mrs. Pearl Laster, Mrs. Mae Jones, and Mrs. Edna Burton,
all of Winnfield, La., Mrs. Viola Jones of Colfax, La.; four brothers,
E.J. Buchanan and Robert Buchanan, of Winnfield, La., Eugene Buchanan of
Olla, La. and Arnold Lee Buchanan of Joyce, La.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Martin, Darrell Robbins, Larry Rodgers, Glenn
Rodgers, Dennis Barry and Dennis Rimmer.
