Death Takes Amos Buchan, 69, Winn Resident

Amos Buchan, 69, lifelong resident of Winn, died at the home of J. R. James in
Winnfield Wednesday, following an illness of several weeks.  He was a
retired farmer.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10:30 at Welcome Home Baptist
Church, conducted by Rev. Hayes Hendrix and Rev. Joe T. Massey, with burial in
Welcome Home Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

He was born in Winn Parsih, April 17, 1883, and was a member of the Zion Hill
Baptist Church.

Survivors are two brothers, G. D. Buchan of Crowville and Joe Buchan of Route,
1, Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Sina Page of Delhi and Mrs. Josie Smith of
Sikes, and several nieces and nephews.
