Kenneth Tarver and Jack Head officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield . Mr. Burnett died Sunday, June 29, 2982 in the local hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Winn Parish, a school bus driver and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where he was a deacon and church clerk. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lessie W. Burnett of Gaars Mill; two sons, Glen Burnett of New Orleans, Ray Burnett of Gaars Mill; three daughters, Mrs. Lois B. Hood of New Orleans, Mrs. Beth B. Mock of New Orleans, Mrs. Dianne B. Pennington of Sikes; a brother Ivy Burnett of Camden Arkansas; four sisters, Alma Jones of West Monroe, Ila Frazier of Goldonna, Zula Avera of Sarepta and Nola Manasco of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
